Hi Jennifer. I know your placenta dilema is very serious to you but you had me laughing for a long time! When Uncle Peter and I visited your Mom in August she gave me your blog info. Hope you don't mind. I enjoyed reading about you and your family and I am sooooo happy for you. Zeke and Ophelia sound like wonderful kids. Why don't you save that old placenta and when you want to show Zeke and Ophelia Grandma's house you could bury it in her back yard. Good luck in your new place. Aunt Janet

Hi Jen,
I understand about the "home" thing. I think I finally can call this place home, but it took most of my life, and I have conflicted feelings about Hanover NH.

Do you feel that the Burlington area of Vermont is home to you? If so then you can bury the placenta somewhere around here, since it would therefore be near you, physically. How about somewhere in Shelburne? There are so many beautiful places there. Another idea might be to plant it in a pot, with a high ratio of soil. Then add a plant that lives for a long time. I might suggest Oxalis, since it blooms a lot and it keeps sending up new shoots as the old ones finish. I have had mine since 1993. It is wonderful. I love it. How big is the placenta? I am so excited to hear about your new place! Congratulations.
