Ophelia asked me for designated mother-daughter time since our schedules have gotten so busy and our lives have been pretty chaotic this past year. Since it's pretty much just the two of us living together we really spend quite a bit of time together, but she felt she needed the structure of scheduled time, and she is emotionally strong and secure enough to ask for what she needs because she knows I'll say yes. We like to go out to eat...since we're both foodies...plus, she talks to me more when we go out to eat. I'm also expecting to be broke this summer since my teaching job just ended for the year... so we have to eat cheap. So starting today we are going to start working on our goal of eating at all of the street vendors on Church St. and blogging our experiences.
